taqt privacy policy
taqt is built to make time tracking feel calm, useful, and exportable — on Mac and on iPhone — without turning your workday into an account system or an ad-tech product.
This privacy policy applies to taqt on macOS and iPhone, along with the taqt website.
Overview
taqt is designed to help you track work sessions, capture tasks quickly, and keep a reusable record of your day. It does not require account creation and it is not built around advertising, behavioral profiling, or selling personal data.
Information we collect
taqt does not require an account and does not collect personal information for account registration.
Information you provide
- Task titles, work log entries, and session data you create in the app
- Optional voice input used to create task titles or related entries
- Exported files you intentionally create and store in a location you choose
Permissions
- Microphone: used only when you choose to record voice input
- Speech Recognition: used only to transcribe spoken input into text
- File or folder access: used only when you explicitly choose export locations or import-related files where supported
How your information is used
- To provide time tracking and task logging functionality
- To convert optional voice input into text for your own use inside the app
- To create exports or files you intentionally ask the app to generate
- To keep app behavior working across supported Apple platforms, including macOS and iPhone
Data handling
- Your data is used only to operate app features you choose to use
- taqt does not sell your personal data
- taqt does not use your data for advertising
- taqt does not build cross-app or cross-site behavioral profiles
- The website uses privacy-first, cookieless traffic measurement for page views and important link clicks
Website analytics
The marketing website records simple aggregated events such as page views and important link clicks. The setup is intentionally cookieless and does not use advertising trackers, cross-site profiling, or local storage for analytics.
Third parties
If transcription or related processing uses Apple system frameworks or approved third-party services, that processing is used only to deliver the requested feature. The website may also rely on standard hosting, delivery, and analytics infrastructure needed to run the service.
Your choices
- You can choose not to use voice features
- You can revoke app permissions at any time in macOS System Settings or iPhone Settings
- You can choose where exports are stored when the app offers that option
- You can stop using the website at any time without creating an account
